There are different cultural influences on gardens around Australia. In Melbourne, particularly in the 70s style gardens, you could see the Greek and Italian influences. In the eighties you start to see more of the Asian influences such as the Japanese gardens, Vietnamese influences. More recently we are seeing Chinese influences and the gardens.
Translating the influences from different countries into the Australian culture makes Australian horticulture unique.
